Siete invitati a partecipare a uno studio di ricerca online condotto da ricercatori della Queen's University di Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
Questo studio è rivolto a persone che hanno problemi sessuali che sembrano essere associati all'uso di SSRI/SNRI, in modo da poter imparare di più sulla PSSD. La disfunzione sessuale post-SSRI/SNRI (PSSD) è una condizione che ha un impatto negativo sulla salute sessuale e su altri aspetti della salute in coloro che assumono farmaci SSRI o SNRI, nonostante l'interruzione dell'assunzione di tali farmaci.
La partecipazione è volontaria e si può rifiutare di partecipare alla ricerca o a qualsiasi aspetto della ricerca in qualsiasi momento senza penalità/perdita di benefici.
Per partecipare, è necessario avere almeno 18 anni, parlare fluentemente l'inglese, assumere attualmente o in passato farmaci SSRI/SNRI, avere problemi sessuali che sembrano essere associati all'uso di SSRI/SNRI ed essere a proprio agio nel rispondere a domande sulla propria salute (mentale e fisica), sulla sessualità e sulla PSSD.

Procedure dello studio:
La vostra partecipazione a questo studio è volontaria e siete liberi di ritirarvi in qualsiasi momento senza alcuna penalità. Se deciderà di partecipare, le verrà chiesto di completare 4 sondaggi nei momenti indicati di seguito. Se deciderete di partecipare a momenti successivi, alla fine di ogni sondaggio vi verrà chiesto di dare il vostro consenso e di confermare fornendo il vostro indirizzo e-mail. Il vostro indirizzo e-mail sarà utilizzato per collegare i dati nei 4 momenti e i dati scaricati saranno immediatamente de-identificati una volta collegati (il che significa che il vostro nome e le vostre informazioni personali non saranno collegate alle vostre risposte; le risposte saranno solo identificate da un numero di partecipante).
L'indagine contiene questionari che chiedono informazioni sociodemografiche (ad esempio, età, istruzione), PSSD (uso di SSRI/SNRI, pensieri e sentimenti riguardo alla propria PSSD), anamnesi, funzione emotiva e cognitiva, funzione sessuale, soddisfazione relazionale ed esperienze con gli operatori sanitari. I membri del team di ricerca saranno disponibili via e-mail (sex.lab@queensu.ca) per rispondere a qualsiasi domanda sul sondaggio e/o sullo studio.

Introduction and Purpose of the Study:
You are being invited to participate in an online research study led by researchers at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
This study is for people who experience sexual issues that seem to be associated with the use of SSRIs/SNRIs so that we can learn more about PSSD. Post-SSRI/SNRI Sexual Dysfunction (PSSD) is a condition that negatively impacts sexual health and other aspects of health in those who take SSRI or SNRI medications, despite stopping taking these medications.
Participation is voluntary and you can decline to participate in the research or any aspect of the research at any time without penalty/loss of benefits.
To participate, you must be at least 18 years of age, fluent in English, currently taking SSRIs/SNRIs, or have taken them in the past, experience sexual issues that seemed to be associated with the use of SSRIs/SNRIs and must be comfortable answering questions about your health (mental and physical), sexuality, and PSSD.
Study Procedures:
Your participation in this study is voluntary and you are free to withdraw at any time without any penalty. Should you choose to participate, you will be asked to complete 4 surveys at the following time points outlined below. Should you choose to participate in future time points, you will be asked to consent and confirm at the end of each survey by providing your email address. Your email address will be used to link data over the 4 time points and downloaded data will be de-identified immediately once linked (meaning your name and personal information will not be attached to your responses; responses will just be identified by a participant number).
The survey contains questionnaires asking about sociodemographic information (e.g., age, education), PSSD (use of SSRI/SNRIs, thoughts and feelings about your PSSD), medical history, emotional and cognitive function, sexual function, relationship satisfaction, and experiences with healthcare providers. Members of the research team will be available by email (sex.lab@queensu.ca) to answer any questions that you may have about the survey and/or the study.
Study Time Points:
- Time 1 survey (approximately 60-90 minutes)
- Time 2 survey (approximately 60 minutes) 12 Months after Time 1
- Time 3 survey (approximately 60 minutes) 12 Months after Time 2
- Time 4 survey (approximately 60 minutes) 12 Months after Time 3
