Among the various types of antidepressants, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) and serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs) are the most commonly used. Despite their effectiveness, these medications are often associated with side effects, with sexual dysfunction being one of the most frequently reported issues. This side effect can negatively impact patients’ adherence to therapy and reduce overall quality of life, leading to treatment discontinuation in some patients.
