Application of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation in the Treatment of Sexual Dysfunction Associated with Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor Therapy - a narrative review Abstract Post-SSRI Sexual Dysfunction (PSSD) is a persistent and often debilitating condition that follows the discontinuation of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). It is characterized by long-term sexual dysfunction symptoms. Although there are currently no established, evidence-based treatments for this condition, its impact on patients can be substantial and warrants clinical attention. It is therefore important to explore potentially effective therapeutic approaches, including modalities such as transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), which may be of interest due to its targeted influence on neural circuit functioning, its capacity to induce neuroplastic processes, and its modulatory effects on neurotransmission.
